Beth Thomas – Treasurer

Beth Thomas | Treasurer Langley Rams

Beth, a graduate of Bellville Ontario’s Quinte Secondary, joined the Rams board in 2014 after watching her son Steve from the grandstands. Beth grew up as a figure skater. Her figure skating father put a pair of skates on her in 1961 (Beth was only one year old) and taught her to skate on the frozen harbour of Belleville. Beth and her husband Albert both worked in the trucking industry and moved west to Saskatchewan in 1983. They headed for the west coast and settled in BC in 1985. Beth got involved in soccer in 1999 when their youngest boy started playing in the Surrey Youth Soccer Association; she was a dedicated volunteer and held various titles over 12 years, including: Equipment manager, Treasurer, and Chairperson.

Beth has worked as an accountant for most of her career but also has interest in the hospitality industry. She runs the family business, Boa Trucking — also a Langley Rams Sponsor, out of her office in Surrey. Beth’s boys became Premier level soccer goalkeepers. Steve moved on to football where he became an All Star kicker for the Rams and is hoping for a career in professional football. He recently graduated from the Justice Institute Fire Fighting program. Beth’s other son, Oliver, is now an ice hockey goalie. Beth discovered weight training when she was 17, progressing to power lifting a few years later. Beth continues to lift weights to keep in shape, which is great for the club — when she tells Rams players to buck up… they buck up.
