Chris played Junior Football for the Surrey Rams (79, 80) and the Vancouver Meralomas (81). He returned to the Rams and coached defensive backs from 1986 to 1994, winning a BCFC Tier 2 (87) and four BCFC Cullen Cup Championships(90,92,93,94) along the way. He took over the reins as Club President from 1994 to 1998 and has been the Rams Director of Media for the past 20 years. Chris also served as BCFC Media Coordinator (1998 – 2003) and CJFL Media Coordinator (2002-2003).

Swartz played Minor Football in North Delta and moved to the Prairies in grade 6, he attended Gordon Bell High School and was a member of the Panthers 1977 Winnipeg High School Football City Championship team. Chris moved back to the west coast and played for Walter Becker’s North Delta Huskies in 1979, his Senior year.

Chris has been working for CN Rail since 1981 and resides in South Surrey with his wife Debbie and their four teenagers, Kassidee, Nicholas, Jacob and Aimee, he is also a volunteer coach with the White Rock – South Surrey Challenger Baseball program.

Chris has been fortunate enough to have been a part of eight Championship Rams teams since 1986, the Rams retired his number 20 jersey and honoured him as a Rams Life Member in 2014 (joining Nick Kawaza and Ken Smith), although judging by his bio he pretty much already was.
