The Langley Rams improved their BCFC record to 3-2 with a 42-9 victory over Langford’s Westshore Rebels this afternoon at McLeod Athletic Park Stadium.
71 was the lucky number for Rams receiver Bobby Pospischil, who was on the receiving end of a 71 yard touchdown pass from Dylan Tucker on the first play of the second quarter and on the last play of the half the former SFU star took a lateral pass from Tucker, evaded a few Rebels defenders and then tossed a 71 yard touchdown strike to Nathan Lund to give the Rams a 28-8 lead at the break.
Unofficially Pospischil caught 3 passes for 160 yards and a TD, Tucker completed 8 of 14 pass attempts for 230 yards and 2 tds.
Nathan Lund also scored on a 3 yard run, Tucker plunged into the endzone from 2 yards out, he also threw a 19 yard TD strike to Dallas Yassinsky and Jacob Patko ran one in from 5 yards out to round out the scoring.
Defensively Brock Gowanlock, Nick Westad, Shaiheem Charles-Brown, Bashiru Sise Odaaa and Alex Agnoletto each had sacks, Agnoletto also chipped in with an interception, John Beckerleg and Denis Olivera also came up with picks for the Rams.
The Rams now prepare for next Saturday’s home game versus the Okanagan Sun, kickoff is 7PM.
