The Langley Rams Football Club strives to give our players the best chance for success on and off the field.
Each year players are selected to receive financial assistance for furthering their post-secondary education through the “Jake Gulka Memorial” Fund, the Broberg Family Fund, the Rams Annual Blue and White Fundraising Dinner and contributions from Rams supporters.
Jake Gulka was a member of the Rams team in the early 2000’s and then moved on to play and coach for the Abbotsford Air Force. Jake’s life ended tragically in an automobile accident in 2005 at the age of 23. The Jake Gulka fund was originally created by the Abbotsford Air Force, with the Air Force no longer in operation the Rams agreed to take on and continue adding to the “Jake Gulka” education fund in 2014.
The Broberg Family fund was established in 2013 when Eric and Patricia Broberg wanted to give back to the program in appreciation of how the Rams coaches treated and mentored their son Dan, who was playing out of his home province of Saskatchewan. Dan has graduated from the Rams and has returned home but the Broberg family continues to generously contribute to the fund.
Supporting education is very important to the Langley Rams Football Club, many of our players attend post secondary schools and we try to help as much as possible, of course the more funds we have the more we can help.
The 2019 Blue and White Fundraising Dinner was a huge success, special thanks to our Keynote Speaker JR LaRose for delivering a motivational message like only he can, also thanks to our Alumni, Sponsors and other Rams supporters in attendance for making it a successful and memorable event.
Please join us in the spring of 2020 at The Redwoods Golf and Country Club for our next Blue and White fundraising dinner.
