Andrew Pocrnic scored six touchdowns, five on the ground and one in the air, in the Langley Rams 66-0 road victory over Chilliwack’s Valley Huskers on Saturday. The Rams dominated all aspects of the game, offensively racking up 552 yards and defensively holding the Huskers to a mere 58 yards net offense.
Duncan Little threw for 371 yards and 4 touchdowns, three of them to Khalik Johnson, as the Rams clinched first place with a 44-9 home victory over the Okanagan Sun today.
The Langley Rams improved to 6-0 on the season with a 28-3 road victory over Nanaimo’s VI Raiders on Saturday.
The win extended the Rams BCFC undefeated streak to 14 games, including the final eight games of the 2018 season, overall the Rams have won 15 of their past 16 games, including a CJFL playoff win over the Hamilton Hurricanes, the only loss in that stretch being to the Saskatoon Hilltops in last years National Championship game.
The Rams led 7-0 after one quarter of play and 21-1 at the half, they added another touchdown to lead 28-1 after three and the only scoring in the final frame was a conceded safety by the Rams.
Andrew Pocrnic continued his assault of opposing defenses with 143 yards rushing and a pair of touchdowns, he also caught a pair of passes for 18 yards.
Liam Stewart led all receivers with three catches for 87 yards and a touchdown, Jarryd Taylor also caught a touchdown pass from Duncan Little, who completed 12 of his 22 pass attempts for 223 yards, 2 interceptions and a pair of touchdowns.
The Rams defense continued it’s stingy play, allowing only 83 yards rushing, recording three quarterback sacks and forcing the Raiders to turn the ball over on downs four times. Kyle Clarot led the way for the Rams with four tackles, one and a half sacks and a pass knock down. Isaiah Okoli had a sack and an interception.
The win clinched a playoff spot for the Rams, who will be making their 31st consecutive BCFC playoff appearance.
The Rams head back to the Island next Saturday to face the 5-1 Westshore Rebels in Langford, kick-off is 4PM and the game can be watched online at www.bcfctv.com
Tristan Secord-Yanciw engineered a 13 play 94 yard drive that resulted in the game winning touchdown with 12 seconds remaining in the game as the Rams improved to 5-0 with a 14-10 road victory over the Okanagan Sun today in Kelowna.
